PhD Jarosław Łukawski has over 20 years of experience in advising clients on Polish and EU competition law. He also has extensive experience in matters involving unfair trading practices in agri-food sector and payment backlogs.
He has advised clients in numerous complex merger control proceedings in Poland in which precedential definitions of relevant markets were developed. He has also been involved in many antitrust proceedings and appeals against decisions issued by the Polish Competition Authority. He also advised in the first-ever dawn-raid conducted by the European Commission under the Foreign Subsidies Regulation
Jaroslaw regularly supports clients operating in various sectors, including FMCG wholesale and retail distribution, logistics (KEP), transport, fitness clubs, pharmaceutical and animal health products.
Jaroslaw is ranked by the international legal ranking Chambers & Partners Europe as competition law specialist.
For several years, he has been a lecturer at the Postgraduate Studies in Competition Law at the Institute of Law Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences. He is also co-author of a commentary on the Digital Markets Act (ed. M Grochowski) and author of a number of publications on merger control and distribution agreements.
